Manufacturing Process of Armor Steel

1.Smelting - Vacuum Degassing or Electroslag Remelting (ESR): Reduces impurities and improves purity.

2.Rolling - Controlled Rolling Temperature: Ensures a uniform microstructure.

3.Heat Treatment

*Quenching & Tempering (Q&T): Balances hardness and toughness.

*Surface Hardening (e.g., Carburizing): Enhances anti-penetration capability.

4.Composite Armor Manufacturing

*Layering (Steel + Ceramics): Improves ballistic resistance.

*Explosive Welding: Used for titanium/steel composite armor.

B4/B5 ballistic level
