Hot rolled, or hot rolled coil, is made from slab as raw material, heated and then processed by roughing and finishing mills into steel strips. The hot steel strip that comes out of the last finishing mill is cooled to a set temperature through laminar cooling, and then coiled into rolls by a coiler, which is referred to as hot rolled.

The production process of hot rolled is a process with extremely strict requirements on technology. First, selected high-quality steel slabs are sent to the heating furnace, heated to the appropriate rolling temperature under precise temperature control. Then, the steel slab enters the roughing mill, where it is gradually rolled into an intermediate product with a certain thickness and width through multiple passes. Next, the intermediate product enters the finishing mill, where it is further rolled into the target thickness and width of the steel strip under high-precision rolling equipment and advanced rolling process control. Throughout the rolling process, an advanced automation control system precisely controls key parameters such as rolling speed, rolling force, and temperature to ensure the dimensional accuracy and flatness quality of the steel strip.

After finishing, the steel strip needs to undergo rapid cooling treatment to obtain good organizational performance. The laminar cooling system precisely controls the amount of cooling water and cooling speed, allowing the steel strip to cool to the set temperature in a short time. Finally, the cooled steel strip is coiled into rolls by the coiler, becoming the finished hot rolled product.
